Video Blog

As the Film Festival winds down for 2015 our Mediazone Lab assistants, volunteers and students are more than happy to present the last installment of our video blog. The films presented moved us to tears, to joy and made us think about ourselves and the world we live in. This  is the culture, the glue that keeps our society together. We need these outlets, these venues these events more now than ever before. We thank Cyprus Film Days for inviting us onto this journey, and we thank all of those that attended and decided to travel with us.

This incredible collaboration brought to us the chance to screen all of the short films from Cyprus, originally screened at the festival in Limassol. This opportunity brought out almost 250 film goers, directors, producers and many others!

We hope this becomes a yearly event bringing everyone in touch with Cypriot cinema and our University! Continue reading

Each group had a ‘leader’ with experience and involvement in radio. The members of my team (Cyprus) were Andreas Rocopos, Evie Hartsioti, Antonia Filippou, Christiana Palaonta and our leader Dr. Mike Hadjimichael. The first part of the project started in France, then continued in Cyprus and finished in England. I only had the chance to participate to the trip in England. On their staying in Cyprus members from the three groups decided to create a song, in French and English language with the help of Med Dred. Continue reading
