After some arduous work in the field and listening to the rhythms of the House Music scene students are back in the studio! Students from the Communications Department course 417 are once again collaborating with Mediazone & Music Tv to produce an on air show. You guessed it – their topic is House Music in Cyprus!

It’s not everyday you feel the sting of the pressure that comes from producing ‘live on air’. The road ahead entails a lot of editing and hard work. The crew is up for the challenge! We look forward to seeing the first draft! Continue reading →

Why You Should Join The Communications Society! It’s Not Too Late, Join Us Tomorrow!

As a Communications student and a Mediazone Lab Assistant, I have come to realize how many opportunities we can create for ourselves here at the University of Nicosia but for some reason no one is attempting to do so which is why it all changes here!

At the beginning of the semester a fellow student/lab assistant and myself came up with one idea, to bring the Communications Society back to life. FameLab 2012

Famelab science competition was less about content, but more about the “WOW” of presentation. The University of Nicosia hosted the preliminaries in Cinestudio, while Mediazone produced the pre-recorded “live to tape” video production which aired on CyBc. Our very own President, Dr. Nicos Peristianis was on the panel of judges, joining in on all of the tough decisions. Continue reading →
