Students from the Communications Department course 417 are once again collaborating with Mediazone & Music Tv to produce an on air show. You guessed it – their topic is House Music in Cyprus!
It’s not everyday you feel the sting of the pressure that comes from producing ‘live on air’. The road ahead entails a lot of editing and hard work. The crew is up for the challenge! We look forward to seeing the first draft! Continue reading

Spring Semester Stats – Fresh from Google!
It is hard to believe that next month our student website will be 2 years old. In that time it has grown from being a basic information site to an incredible tool for all students taking practical courses in the Department of Communications. Not only have we improved, tweaked and tinkered under the hood, but we have added “can’t live without” tools such as all of our operation manuals in pdf – including the hard to find ones. Students are using our handbooks, useful links, booking their cameras and facilities, all from the comfort of their own homes. It truly is a “one stop shopping site”, a “megamart” of sorts. Or maybe a really cool “Swiss army tool-kit”, where you can quickly find the right tool, & pretty well everything you need to survive throughout the semester. Continue reading

Welcome back to the university and the department! We hope that you all had a relaxing summer and are ready for the new academic year of 2012! In an attempt to ease one of the challenges you must be facing now, we would like to offer some help with choosing courses for your new semester schedule. Below, you will see a variety of courses to which we would like to draw your attention to. You will find production courses, both for video and audio communication, which are major requirements (foundational and advanced) courses for those of you who would like to pursue a career in production or to gain useful production techniques. You will also find very useful courses in Public relations, such as Public Relations Methods and Corporate Communication, which will offer you all the necessary practical skills and media techniques needed to plan, propose and organize public relations and marketing events and programs.
