Cyprus Film Days 2013 hits the big screens of Rialto Theatre and Zena Palace Cinema in its 11th edition, from the 19 – 28 April 2013, and celebrates cinema, presenting outstanding cinematic gems. This year’s exciting programme will showcase international and local productions, special tributes and music events. University of Nicosia students will participate in the newly established Student Jury. The Distance Learning IT department Proudly Present the Unic Application!

Just like me, you  also may have seen posters around University advertising the new Unic Application. When I first saw it I thought it was a brilliant idea since most of us have learned and have gotten used to having everything we need on our phone. Our phones have become a part of our daily lives and we always have them on us. They are not only our phones but they have become our personal mail man, our entertainment at times of boredom, our computer, basically they’ve become a customized piece of technology  that suits each and everyone’s personal need.

Hugo Olivos – Mediazone Tv – Lab Assistant 2009 – 2011

Hugo Olivos was one of our Mediazone Lab Assistants who finished his Masters in Communications here at the University of Nicosia. 2010 – 2012. Hugo is a Unic Alumnus with music on his mind! Although he originates from Mexico his heart is here in Cyprus. His wife, band and the children that he teaches music to part time are all integral parts of his life. No matter where he is he breathes and lives drumming and metal music. Apart from his drummer “secret identity”, Hugo is just the nicest guy. He displayed “customer service” skills, and an easy going personality, was adept at everything and had that winning smile!
