Graduation Success!!!
The Graduation Ceremony 2012 was a great success. The planning started months ago and many people were involved to make the idea reality.
Behind every Graduation ceremony, there are the unsung heroes dressed in black that capture that one moment every graduate will go back to their DVD players and watch. They were the Mediazone crew, which included student Lab Assistants, student volunteers, special community volunteer, and freelancers. A small but dedicated team. There were two graduation ceremonies, one for the University of Nicosia and the second one for Intercollege, as well as the UNIC awards ceremony. We’d meet to break down the ceremonies as if they were missions and rehearse for both of them under the heat of the summer sun, so we’d be sure we were ready to stream live and record each graduate’s big emotional moments with their friends and family at the end, flawlessly no matter what. Imagine putting together a music show from scratch, working with a crew alongside professional equipment & personnel in Mediazone, doing your own research, running your live control room or shooting on location, editing and packaging an entire show; and all of this under the instruction of Dr. Mike Hajimichael. Now sit back and watch your show on Music Tv, and get lost in the rhythm of it all.

One step ahead with The University of Nicosia, a behind the scenes look!
The University of Nicosia is in full swing production for its new campaign! Industry leader, Producer / Director Marios Stylianou, (Msviewpoint http://www.msviewpoint.com/) in association with (Green Olive http://www.greenolivefilms.com/) visited Mediazone in order to showcase our new facilities.
The team filled the studio with a flurry of creative activity, lighting and shooting in front of our green screen to create a distinctive narrative. Everybody was on hand, technicians, lighting, & make up to create that “movie magic”.
The University of Nicosia brings modern high end video production facilities together with industry professionals – now that’s a powerful combination! We all look forward to seeing the final result!

FameLab 2012
Famelab science competition was less about content, but more about the “WOW” of presentation. The University of Nicosia hosted the preliminaries in Cinestudio, while Mediazone produced the pre-recorded “live to tape” video production which aired on CyBc. Our very own President, Dr. Nicos Peristianis was on the panel of judges, joining in on all of the tough decisions. Continue reading
Laugh until you cry… Video Competition!!
