MUSIC VIBES 2022

Posted On November 21, 2022 By admin In Studio Assistants Blog /  2

Hello, my name is George, and I have been a studio assistant at Mediazone since September 2022. Officially being a part of Mediazone has made me feel like I was able to partake in a place that understands my creativity, and sharpens my skills all while helping me gain a multitude of experiences in my field. A few short weeks later, I got the chance to participate in my first event, where I was a camera operator for Music vibes 2022.

In this event, I had the opportunity to be the first person to stream Music Vibes to the metaverse. I was very grateful to receive such a great responsibility for my very first event.

My team and I started the setup for the event two hours in advance. I felt this was necessary as this was my first event, and I wanted to take the time to ensure everything was set up perfectly so that the event ran smoothly.

In the end, I had ample time to prepare. I was given clear guidance regarding what exactly was expected of me, the required camera angles to shoot, and even advice on some particular camera settings.

The actual camerawork I had to do was relatively straightforward. However, getting acquainted with filming a live event and making the necessary adjustments in a situation where every frame of your work will be viewed was a priceless experience.

Moreover, we had a technical problem at one point when a person from the technology department came up to me and said that the stream was not working. At first, I started panicking, but I quickly regained my composure. After communicating with the rest of the team, we figured out that it was a false alarm and everything was running great.

The event was a success, and although it was a very long night, it was an enjoyable and important experience for my career.
To a certain extent, it was somewhat overwhelming to receive such a big job and responsibility so early on during my time at Mediazone, but I’m glad it happened because it taught me a lot. This experience has prepared me to be more confident going into future projects. I’m also thankful for having such a great team around me.

One thing that I want to point out is the fact that working at Music Vibes got people interested in what I was doing at the event.

Multiple people came up to me to ask about what I was doing and were even more interested after understanding that I was part of Mediazone.

It was quite inspiring to hear and hopefully, more people decide to join our team in the future! Those of you who are debating joining Mediazone, I suggest you do, it is 100% worth it.
