“There is nothing like Cyprus” – “εν εσιή σαν την κύπρο μας” – is a common saying here on the island, and the attributes are definitely plentiful and too many to list.
But every now and then we find ourselves immersed in Cypriot culture and we let all our 5 senses on the loose! This event organised by the Culinary Arts team, Intercollege Nicosia, was just this kind of an opportunity, and a terrific success. Mediazone was there to cover it all!
A cooking contest for ages 10 to 18, traditional cooking, vendors, delicacies, traditional music and dancing. It had it all! For those fortunate enough to be there – you cannot easily forget! For those that missed it – see a “taste” below… but trust me it’s not the same…
