Magirevo Kipriaka!

Mediazone supports the “Magirevo Kipriaka” event on April the 13th & 14th. Mediazone staff, lab assistants and volunteers will be on hand to cover this fantastic event, which not only promotes Cypriot cuisine, but Cyprus itself.

Η Μονάδα MediaZone, του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας, στηρίζει έμπρακτα το Διαγωνισμό Μαγειρικής για Παιδιά και Νέους «Μαγειρεύω Κυπριακά», που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 13 και 14 Απριλίου στους χώρους του Intercollege Λευκωσίας. Το προσωπικό της Μονάδας, καθώς και φοιτητές-βοηθοί και μια σειρά από εθελοντές θα είναι παρόν το διήμερο για να καλύψουν την εκδήλωση, που στόχο έχει να προωθήσει την κουλτούρα μας, μέσα από την Κυπριακή κουζίνα. Harlem Shake @ UNic! Student Initiative!

On March 20th 2013, students of the University Of Nicosia

took part in a fun production of a UNic Harlem Shake video at the open amphitheater. It wasn’t something you get to see every day and we definitely stole the interest of other students. Some watched and others participated, it’s positive that we broke the way of the daily routine. Special thanks to MediaZone, Stefan Colton (opening performer) and everyone who was a part of this Harlem Shake! Hopefully students in the future will also be encouraged to take similar initiative. Encourage Creativity !

Famelab 2013

Once again this year the University of Nicosia, Mediazone is producing Famelab 2013, which is a national talent competition to find the best new talent in science communication. The “live to tape” event takes place today – at 4:30pm sharp in Cinestudio!

They are hand picked, highly trained and on many occasions multi talented; and when they graduate we are sorry to see them go. On the other hand we couldn’t be prouder!

Take Constantinos Christoudias for instance. He has been with us for just over 2 years. He was an exceptional assistant and an exceptional student.
