Vines? What’s up with them?

Posted On November 4, 2013 By admin In Studio Assistants Blog /

If you have a Facebook account, or a Twitter, or  if you have just logged into any social network site in the last five months I’m quite sure that you’ve seen one of those Vines videos.

If you haven’t,  just log again into your social network account and I guarantee you that in your news feed there will be more than one vine for you.

Vines are humoristic short videos (mostly 3 to 7 seconds) that anyone can post on the internet, and may be the laugh of the day for many viewers. Vine is a mobile app owned by Twitter. It can be downloaded to all Android and iOS platforms. In order to create a vine you had to open the application and shoot a vine from your camera. Now vines evolved and they may come from more detailed cameras, and may also be edited.  Vines became popular so quickly that now it’s an everyday hobby for the creators because of their everyday viewers. Also, vines had their television time by Dunkin Donuts who was the first company to use a single Vine as an entire advertisement.

Personally I really like vines not only because I enjoy watching them, but because vines are original material coming from everybody around the world, no matter the age or the country, or the language or anything else. People make other people laugh in creative ways, with no racism or sarcastic material. There are vines that each creator makes fun of  their own culture or country, and this is quite funny because everyone has their own weaknesses or seemingly weird (to others) ways of living, and by recognizing that and sharing it with others, it means that you are confident with it and you are spreading it with no fear that you will be judged. So I believe vines are a great way to understand  other people’s cultures, and get familiar with it. Furthermore, I believe vines give the opportunity to people that want to follow an acting career, to share their content with no expenditures and be famous, and who knows – they might get a chance to start their career by that.

To sum up, I believe vines are a great way to share your funny stuff with the world, and also a great way to have a laugh when you need it or not. My suggestion is, start making vines and let the world laugh, or if you are not interested in making vines, support vines by giving them credit (like, share etc.) because as we can see, they simply make the world better in their own way!
