Alumni Inspiration Sessions – Learning by experience!

Posted On December 19, 2012 By admin In News /

Two student Alumni, Marios Achas – Consultant / General Manager of MUSIC TV and Doxa Komodromou – Presenter / Television – Radio / PIK  spent the afternoon with us on Tuesday December the 11th in Cinestudio, imparting their experiences and words of wisdom. Athos Kyriakou – Deputy Managing Director / Telia & Pavla BBDO was absent due to health reasons, but was definitely with us in spirit.

Both speakers were graduates of the Communications program and have continued a successful career in the media industry here in Cyprus. They came to talk to students about their experiences, the pitfalls, and the realities of the media industry. More importantly they came to advise and to motivate students who may be getting ready to enter the very same industry. Students had the opportunity to learn first hand what it took to gain a career in a creative and competitive industry that has nothing but high expectations from graduates that will be taking their very first steps. Students interacted with our Alumni afterwards gaining useful information, insight and something you can’t quite put your finger on; some real inspiration!

The event was for Greek speakers – and it is presented here in its entirety for all those that did not have the opportunity to attend. This was not just for students, but for instructors, for professionals and for everyone who loves the media industry and dreams about a being a newscaster, a radio host, being involved in television or just plain loves to share & communicate!

Enjoy!

Big thanks go to our volunteers here at Mediazone who were directly involved in making this event come to fruition!
