On July 26th, Mediazone, University of Nicosia, in association with the Admissions office and the American Academy, hosted a group of summer school kids who took part in a very practical workshop. This was a part 2 of 2 as the 1st part was completed earlier in the month.
All of the ideas and words were theirs. They put together a talk show about “freedom”. They were assigned positions so all of the work you see and hear came from them. It was all hands on. Although some had difficulties with the English language and some had fears of being in front of the camera, they were quickly overcome. With a crash course in what it feels like to produce your own Tv show they became camera women, directors, and hosts putting on a brave face. They expressed themselves and learned the value of a crew & teamwork in a matter of hours. Let us not forget the major fun factor! Where else can you go and get on a Tv show…that you made!!!
